Black  Chameleon

by Claire H.

it's not cold enough
you can't ever match my heart
you're not dirty enough
don't come into my room
never been fast enough
to catch my manic mind
crawl in
curl up
suffocate
the liar
laying in my bed
footprints on the ceiling
soul slowly leaking
onto the floor
lick it up
suck it down
i can't stand it anymore
so i'll just sit
laughing metal
pierce the skin
deeper deeper
shove it in
i can't handle it
so i take it away
imprints left
by moving light
yeah yeah
i can be you
such an easy
easy change
too quick to control
never try anyway
it always fades
rocking back
slamming forth
can't stay too long
more to pick up
unwanted glance
yeah yeah
i can be you
i'm such a talented girl
girl girl
yes just a little girl
they grew up for me
never did it for myself
all for them
kaleidoscope changes
too quick to teach
so easy to fake
never see me
never be me
such an easy easy chameleon
so many colors mixed
i've turned muddy black
next flick of the screen
she'll be me
rainbow times again
yeah i'll show you everyone
just wait and see
yeah i can be anything
just never me
